And now a Tumblr question
Just noticed that some of my blogs that I update with feeds are no longer updating. Did Tumblr turn off RSS feeds on all blogs recently? I’m not a huge fan of using RSS feeds for Tumblr, but I did like the convenience of feeding my articles into a Tumblog.
Update: Thanks, Matt and Goldman. I was just checking if it was just me. They must have nixed it about 2 months ago because...

Facebook question
Weird to be asking on here, I know. But I’m trying to figure out how I can manage who can and can’t add me as a friend. I’ve tweaked the settings but I keep getting requests from people completely unknown to me.
If someone subscribes to my public updates, does that automatically mean they’ve added me as a “friend?” I don’t really care if people subscribe...

Anonymous asked: More important in sex appeal - eyes, hands or feet?
Anonymous asked: Lol, ok I'll ask! Is Skinny Jeans, over the knee boots and a longer, basic t-shirt an appropriate first date outfit? I'm in Seattle, fleece capitol of the world, if that matters... also, it's in two hours, so speedy opinions are best! :-)
Friday night and my ask box is open. Not that anyone else is around…but if you are, you know what to do. #bored #practicallybegging

George Costanza: “I lie every second of the day. My whole life is a sham!”
Jerry Seinfeld: “You’re going to really see me being a phony, now. I hope you can take this. Maybe you should go in the other room.”
George Costanza: “Just remember. It’s not a lie … if you believe it.”
Jerry Seinfeld: “If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.”

“False Claims of Valor” would be a good band name. They’d sound like Avail.

“If false factual statements are unprotected, then the government can prosecute not only the man who tells tall tales of winning the Congressional Medal of Honor, but also the JDater who falsely claims he’s Jewish or the dentist who assures you it won’t hurt a bit,” Kozinski wrote.

The BBC Interviews A 20 Year Old Who Can Speak 11... →
journalofajournalist:
This is a video clip of a 20 year old who can speak a ton of languages. His accents are really good. This is awesome.
I absolutely love this!
As someone who has self-studied languages for years (French, German, Italian, Hindi, Turkish), I am supremely impressed by this guy as I’m nowhere as fluent in any of these as I’d like to be.
My best speaking and...

And that was painful
Just filed a story on deadline. Took me more than three days to research, write, look up photos/copyrights, and plug it all into the system. Sad to think that what I’ll earn from said story is less than I could make bartending for a couple of hours.
Why do I do this again? This freelance writing thing? Oh because I haven’t found a full-time job yet? That’s one reason.
Ugh. 1:30...

Her first move, it must be said, was devastating. Straddling my legs with her knees on my chair, she flicked her long blonde hair over the top of my head so that the two of us were now in a sort of dark, warm tent, eye to eye.

Against TED – The New Inquiry →
When did TED lose its edge? When did TED stop trying to collect smart people and instead collect people trying to be smart?
Started as a one-off conference nearly 30 years ago, the TED (“Technology, Entertainment and Design”) phenomenon has grown to two large annual events and many smaller regional TEDx events, focusing mostly but not exclusively on technology. TED has posted more than 1,100...
